Coordination

Manchester (EGCC)

Stafa Sector is responsible for the Manchester DAYNE stack.

Manchester departures to the south will be transferred directly from Manchester Tower to Stafa Sector.

Birmingham (EGBB) and Coventry (EGBE)

Birmingham Radar is responsible for the airspace within the Birmingham CTA up to FL85.

Birmingham inbounds are subject to a standing agreement at FL90. If holding is taking place at CHASE, or the traffic situation dictates, flights may be offered to Birmingham Radar at other levels. Traffic should be routed towards CHASE and transferred to Birmingham Radar at least 10NM before reaching CHASE. Aircraft may be transferred on radar headings.

Coventry arrivals are to be treated as if they are inbound to Birmingham.

Birmingham and Coventry departures to the northwest will be transferred from Birmingham Radar to Stafa Sector, climbing to the standing agreement level of FL80. Climb above FL80 must not be given until the flight is clear of the CHASE hold. Departures to the south will be transferred directly to TS Bovingdon.

Coventry departures are to be treated as if they are outbound from Birmingham. Although Coventry does not have its own SIDs, Birmingham Radar will vector Coventry departures to generally follow the Birmingham SID routes.

East Midlands (EGNX)

East Midlands Radar is responsible for control within the East Midlands CTA up to FL105. The hold for East Midlands arrivals from the north is at ROKUP.

East Midlands inbounds are subject to a standing agreement at FL70, level by ROKUP. If the traffic situation dictates, flights may be offered to East Midlands Radar at other levels. Traffic should be routed towards ROKUP and transferred to East Midlands Radar at least 10NM before reaching ROKUP.

East Midlands departures to the north will be transferred to Stafa Sector, climbing to the standing agreement level of FL60. Departures to the south will be transferred directly to TC North West Departures.
