Coordination

Southbound flow

Traffic departing Manchester (EGCC) and Liverpool (EGGP) requesting FL200 or higher will be positioned by Stafa Sector to the west of Honiley, making use of the airspace extension to the west of L6 and A34.

Traffic transferred from MACC at FL190 must be climbed into S28's airspace prior to entering London Terminal Control airspace. Such aircraft must not have their heading changed until within S28.

S28 should endeavour to position southbound inbounds as follows (from west to east):

Gatwick
Southampton,
Bournemouth,
Farnborough.

Heathrow,
Northolt.
London City,
Stansted,
Luton
Cambridge.

S28 should endeavour to position southbound overflights according to their intention code, as follows (from west to east):

H
E
V
P
D
C

Northbound flow

Northbound traffic not subject to a standing agreement may be co-ordinated with S10 at opposite direction levels.

S28 should endeavour to position northbound overflights as follows (from west to east):

Intention code L*
Dublin inbounds
Intention code U*
Belfast inbounds
Intention code N*
Scottish inbounds

There is no standing agreement to TC North West Departures for Birmingham (EGBB), Coventry (EGBE) and East Midlands (EGNX) inbounds from the south. This traffic is normally co-ordinated from S26 directly to North West Departures.

Northbound traffic not subject to a standing agreement may be co-ordinated with STAFA at opposite direction levels.
