Sector 10, known as the Lakes sector, covers the airspace above Northern England across the entire width of the FIR. Most of the airspace is high-level with Manchester ACC managing controlled airspace below FL285 in the central and western portion of the sector.
A very high risk of conflicts exists overhead Manchester where East-West and North-South flows meet. Vertical separation should be used whenever possible.
EGTT_10_CTR / 128.125 COM1 / 133.705 COM2 / 122.8 COM3
Primary filter: SFC-UNL / Secondary filter: SFC-UNL
Conflict settings: 8nm* / 900ft (8nm is set to give advance warning of conflicts. Minimum separation is 5nm.)
Range: 210nm centred on TNT (Greater when bandboxed with S20 and/or S35)
Sector 10 is the first AC sector to be opened. When online alone it provides bandboxed coverage to all other AC sectors.
S28 is usually bandboxed with S10, but may be handed off to S20 if controller workload is too high.
