INT and AIR may only be opened by ADC and AS3 rated controllers whom are on APC/ADC courses at Stansted. In all other instances ratings are APC and ADC respectively.
FIN may only be opened if INT and AIR are online, and with permission of INT. If either position closed, FIN should move to an appropriate position.

Stansted operates a preferential runway scheme, whereby the Westerly runway (22) will be used for take-off and landing in preference to the Easterly runway (04) when the tailwind component is no greater than 5kts and the surface is dry. The choice of runway remains that of AIR.
