Stansted |
Stansted departures are split between two sectors, with Northbound departures (BKY/BUZAD/CPT) being handed to FIN and Southbound departures (CLN/DVR/LAM/LYD) being handed to NE DEPS.
Aircraft should be transferred by ADC to the area sectors or FIN (ESSEX if FIN is not online) straight after departure, preferably no later than 2000ft:
| Departure | Sector |
| BUZAD | SS FIN |
| BKY | SS FIN |
| CLN | NE DEPS |
| CPT | SS FIN |
| DVR | NE DEPS |
| LAM | NE DEPS |
| LYD | NE DEPS |
BKY/BUZAD/CPT departures should be handed to SS FIN (or SS INT if FIN is not online). These departures operate on a free flow system - The tower doesn't have to call up for a release on every aircraft.
Once the departures are climbing to min stack level, they should be handed to NW DEPS.
CLN/DVR/LYD departures should be handed to NE DEPS. These departures operate on a release system. A release must be requested by AIR to NE DEPS. These aircraft must not get airborne without approval from NE DEPS.
LAM departures must only be used for aircraft with a destination of London Heathrow (EGLL). A release must be requested by AIR to NE DEPS. These aircraft must not get airborne without approval from NE DEPS.
For the purpose of route separation Stansted SIDs are divided into 3 groups: CLN/DVR/LYD/LAM, and BKY/BUZAD and CPT. For all runways, separation is:
