Some of the airways in the vicinity of Cardiff are delegated to Cardiff.
These are:
- N864 5nm north of TALGA to Exeter overhead, up to FL165
- N862 RILES to abeam Exeter, up to FL165
- N90 LAMAT to NOTRO, up to FL165
- L9 AMMAN to ALVIN, up to FL165

Bristol will control some Cardiff inbounds. They should be handed over using
the following agreements:
Runway 30 - Inbound via ABDAL (CDF1C). Aircraft to be positioned for a 10nm
final and cleared to a suitable altitude subject to other traffic (usually
3500ft). Bristol should advise Cardiff when the inbound has 25nm to run.
Runway 12 - Inbound via ABDAL (CDF1C). Aircraft to be positioned southside of airway Y3 and descended to a suitable level which is to be coordinated at the time. Bristol should advise Cardiff when the inbound has 25nm to run.
When there is no ATC online at Filton, Bristol Radar should provide an ATC coverage for the airfield.
Departures via BCN/AMMAN should be cleared to FL70 and handed to Cardiff Radar once airborne. Cardiff will then climb these to FL160 before handing off to London.
Departures via TALGA/EXMOR should be cleared to FL70 and handed to Cardiff Radar once airborne. Cardiff will then climb these to FL150 before handing off to London.
Departures via WOTAN should be climbed to FL100 by Bristol and then handed off to London Control.
Arrivals routing CPT-POMAX-OF will be handed to Bristol from London, descending FL120 towards POMAX
Arrivals routing RETSI-RILES-OF will be handed to Cardiff from London, descending to FL160 by RILES. Cardiff will then hand these to Bristol descending to FL80 towards OF.
Arrivals routing STU-AMMAN-BCN-OF will be handed to Cardiff from London, descending to FL150 by AMMAN. Cardiff will then hand these to Bristol descending to FL80 towards OF.
Arrivals routing TINAN-EXMOR-OF will be handed to Cardiff from London, descending to FL160 by TINAN. Cardiff will then hand these to Bristol descending to 5000ft towards OF.
When Filton traffic is below 4000ft, they will be outside controlled airspace so should be provided with an appropriate service. They should route to OF and perform a procedural approach to either runway. If Filton is online, they should be handed to Filton at 4000ft towards OF.
